We are currently raising the WestBridge SME Fund and are anticipating a first close of between £15 million and £20 million by the end of January 2010 with a final close of £35 million to £50 million within the next year.
The WestBridge SME Fund comprises both institutional and high net worth investors. High net worth investors may invest through a tax efficient “feeder fund” managed by Saltus Partners LLP, a UK based and FSA regulated private wealth management company.
The fund commitment for individual investors is modest – a minimum of £200,000 drawn down in four equal installments of £50,000, invested in a tax efficient structure. This gives investors access to the private equity investment asset class without having to meet the high entry requirements of a traditional fund.
We are seeking to deliver a target return of 3x money and a 30% IRR for our investors.
